Ravenol Motorsport

The Ravensberger Schmierstoff Vertrieb GmbH, trade name RAVENOL, has been active as a technical partner and adviser in motor sport in many national and international racing series with different sporting alignments since 2004. RAVENOL is an established name in motor sport.

In the 2004 season, RAVENOL participated in the German Production Car Championship (known today as ADAC Procar), laying a foundation stone for the success of "RAVENOL Racing". A year later, RAVENOL participated as a partner of the Ford Hotfiel team in the touring car world championships (WTCC) for the first time in international competition. RAVENOL later developed its commitment in the touring car sport with standard partnerships, participating as racing team contenders.

RAVENOL is also active as a partner of various rally sport racing teams and racing series. Their commitment ranges from national rally sport to the rally world championships (WRC). RAVENOL has been working together with Volland Racing in the FIA Rallyecross Championship for many years.

Sports car and GT sport have been very popular for a long time. RAVENOL has been, and is currently involved in a variety of events, such as the ADAC GT Masters, the Blancpain GT Series, the GT4 European Championship and the 24h Le Mans race. Teams like Rosberg, Young Driver Aston Martin Racing, Farnbacher Racing and C.ABT Racing have all been RAVENOL partners over the past few years.

Formula cars symbolise the concept of a racing car par excellence, and in this category RAVENOL is represented from the lowest junior classes to the highest racing classes, right up to, but not including Formula 1 itself. RAVENOL was also a long-standing standard partner of the German Formula 3 ATS Cup. RAVENOL supports several racing teams in ADAC Formula 4. In addition, they are a long-standing partner of Neuhauser Racing and partner teams such as Motopark Academy or Van Amersfoort Racing. Both teams also participate in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship series, of which RAVENOL is an official lubricant partner. RAVENOL and Hilmer Motorsport agreed a cooperation deal in 2015. Hilmer is the official GP2 partner of the Sahara Force India team within the scope of Formula 1 events.

As well as technical cooperation with racing teams and standard organizers, RAVENOL also works together directly with manufacturers in the area of engine and gearing technology. This guarantees a constant high quality standard for the RAVENOL lubricants used in motor sport.

In the motorcycle world championship (Moto3), RAVENOL supports Racing Team Germany and is also represented in the general popular motorcycle sport, as well as in motocross, as a technical supplier.

RAVENOL's extensive motor sport commitment now comprises of approximately 100 racing series worldwide.

In 2014, RAVENOL became a partner of the Hockenheimring. The first curve after the start and finish line has since then been called the "RAVENOL Curve". Highly noticeable is the new landmark on the track; a 13 metre high "RAVENOL tin" at the "RAVENOL House" (previously known as the "Start-Finish House"). It weighs 5.8 tonnes and has a theoretical capacity of 190,000 litres.

RAVENOL has been an exclusive technical premium partner of Opel Motorsport in the area of lubricants since June 2015.
